MEN'S MINISTRY:
There will be a Men's Ministry Kick-Off Meeting on Saturday, February 13th from 9am - 10am,
here at the building. ALL MEN are encouraged to attend! See Varant Blasingame if you have
any questions.
MDYC CONCERT AND MEAL:
We are hosting the Chorus on February 28th. As hosts, we are providing them with a meal. It has
been decided that we will be making and serving cold cut sandwiches, along with potato chips and
cookies/brownies. If you would like to help serve or contribute to this meal, there is a sign up sheet
posted on the board for items needed. If you have any questions please see Betty Simmons.
PARTNERSHIP DINNER:
The 39th annual Partnership Dinner will be held at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester
on March 13, 2010. The dinner will feature nationally syndicated radio host and best-selling author,
Michael Medved. Tickets and sponsorships are on sale now, special pricing is available for
alumni. Please see John Morris for tickets and information.
EUCHRE PARTY:
There is a Euchre Party planned for Saturday, Feb. 6th, beginning at 6:00pm in the Fellowship
Hall. There is a sign up sheet posted on the bulletin board in the foyer, please indicate how
many people will be playing. Bring a deck of cards and some munchies to share.
FACING EVE MINISTRIES:
A ministry designed for young women, ages 11-17. Made up of six young women, one of
which is our very own, Keilah Blasingame. Their goal is to build a ministry that unites
young Christian women together. They would like to meet once a month to learn how to
be confident young women in God, build relationships and serve others. They are having
their "kickoff" next month; Dinner & Devo. Saturday, February 6th, 6:00pm at the Valley
Church of Christ. Please see the letter and flyer with all the information, posted on the
bulletin board in the foyer.
COMMUNIITY OUTREACH:
We will be hosting an outreach dinner on February 25th, and will be promoting the dinner,
as well as the MDYC concert, by mailing out 8,000 flyers. We need volunteers to help in
the folding & stapling of these flyers in the upcoming weeks. Please see Kris if you will
be able to help.
LOCAL FEBRUARY BLOOD DRIVES:
There are several local American Red Cross Blood Drives coming up, please see the
flyer on the board for a location near you. You can help save lives!

SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS:
If you shop at Vg's please save your receipts and give them to Steven Lybrink.
He is collecting them to raise funds to go on his 8th grade class trip.
CAN AND BOTTLE DRIVE:
The teens are raising funds to help toward the cost of Winter-fest again this
year. If you would like to help, please donate your empty cans or bottles to them.
CLOTHING MINISTRY:
We now have designated drop off hours and have worked out a schedule
for those who have volunteered their time to be here on certain days
and times corresponding with those drop off hours. If you would like to
be a part of this active ministry by volunteering your time, there’s always
room for more help.
Brighton Church of Christ
Prayer Concerns:
*Wayne Goins, a member of the Livingston Church of Christ in Hartland, has
requested our prayers for an upcoming heart surgery on February 8th.
*Gary Berger has been having multiple seizures and they are uncertain about
what is causing this. Please pray for Gary and that the doctors may find the cause
and be able to get it under control.
*Rocky & Betty Nichols in the passing of their Nephew, Lawrence Thurston,
He had been sick for some time. Please keep his family in your prayers.
*David Goodman Senior, as he recovers from a fall and broken leg. He is at
Medilodge of Howell for Physical Therapy and recovery. He is in Room 251, Bed 2.
*Ann Eustache, is recovering from pneumonia and is being treated for congestive
heart failure.
*Carol Kalinovik, a dear friend of Donna Krist, lost her battle with cancer last week.
*Doug McArthur, will go back on Chemo, at a lower dose, for 1-2 years. Please
continue to pray for Doug and Diana, that they may have strength to continue the
journey, and that the side effects of the chemo will be much less and easier to
tolerate this time around.

Prayer Concerns:
Please keep the office informed about individuals you know that need
our prayers and if possible, provide updates on those already on our
list. They will stay on the list for 4 weeks, if not updated they will be
removed. Together we can keep our prayer list current and informative.

Mable Smith, Don Herbst, Ann Eustache, Cullie Nall,
Eloise Naylor, Clara Hall and Norma Jean.

Justin Bullock has been deployed to Iraq.
Randy Avellino will be deployed to Afghanistan in January.
