CONGREGATIONAL MEETING:
We will have our annual congregational business meeting next Sunday February 26th, immediately following worship service. We will be addressing the budget at this meeting. All members are encouraged to attend.
WINTERFEST WEEKEND:
Mario Gonzales and a group of our teens will be traveling back today from Winterfest in Tennessee. Please pray for their safe return.
SECRET PRAYER SISTER:
We all need prayers of comfort, concern or congratulations. The power of prayer is endless and unimaginable. We encourage you to become a secret prayer sister it is a fun way to make a new friend and to get to know your fellow sisters in Christ. Please see Norma Morris or Debra Knust if you are interested and they will give you the form to fill out. If you already have one, please be sure to return it by February 29th.
HELP WANTED:
Michigan Christian Youth Camp has a summer staff opening for any graduating senior or college student (must be 18). If you are interested, check out the website: www.mcyc.org/employment-info or see Kris for a paper application. There is also information posted on the bulletin board.
TEACHERS NEEDED:
Are you interested in teaching a children’s class on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings or maybe helping in Bible Hour? The current teachers could use a break. Please let the office or an Elder know if you are interested.
LATIN AMERICAN MISSIONARY MINISTRY:
The Church will provide up to $1,000 for each person who signs up to go on a missionary trip to Latin America. We will be sending up to four people per year for the next 3 years. Please see one of the Elders or Daryl for more information.
40 Days For Life:
Lifeforce Livingston will be having a 40 Days For Life kick-off event on Wednesday, February 22nd from 10am. to 2pm. They will be praying in front of the Planned Parenthood building in Brighton and are looking for prayer partners to join them during these hours. They are hoping for a large showing of prayer warriors to be a quiet, yet powerful presence to the community. Any amount of time you can give to this cause would be greatly appreciated.
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT:
We will be having a “Movie Night” downstairs in the fellowship hall on Saturday, February 25th at 6pm. Everyone is invited to the showing of “Temple Grandin” starring Claire Danes. We will be popping popcorn and soda will be provided.
EUCHRE NIGHT:
Saturday, March 3rd we will be having a Euchre Party down in the fellowship hall at 5pm. Please sign up on the bulletin board if you plan to play and bring a snack to share.
SHOEBOX MINISTRY:
The shoebox Ministry collects empty shoeboxes all year long, preferably wrapped shoeboxes. If you have any, please leave them downstairs near one of the classroom doors or you can put them in the coat room and they will get to where they need to be. Also, if you are interested in wrapping shoeboxes throughout the year, please see Gail.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Thank you to those who have stepped up to fill the empty shifts for the clothing ministry, donation drop off hours. We just have 1 shift left to fill; that is the 2nd & 3rd Friday afternoon of each month.
